Security fraud to get Paypal account details

I recently received an email from a GMail account which was asking for my PayPal account details. The emails is as follows:

DEAR CUSTOMER DUE TO THE GLOBAL UPGRADING IN COUNTRY PAYPAL HAS REQUIRED FOR YOUR PAYPAL INFORMATION TO HELP IN UPGRADING YOUR NETWORK SERVICES AND SECURITY ANY WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD.THIS MASSAGE IS COMING TO YOU FROM PAYPAL COMPANY. MOTTO IN GOD WE TRUST PAYPAL CARD SERIAL…………………………… NAME OF CARD…………………………………….. PAYPAL USER NAME……………………………… PAYPAL PASSWORD………………………………. SEND TO CUSTOMER CARE >SOLFSLASH22@GMAIL.COM

The email has fraud written all over it. It is asking for the PayPal account password. None of the companies/websites that deal with financial data ask their users to share their passwords through email. Most of the companies that perform secure transactions have a high level of security built into their systems. However, that is not enough to prevent fraud if the users don’t take measures to secure their user details and passwords. If that is not done, then no firewall or security hardening can prevent fraud.
