Royals vs Kings!

This was a nail-biter. Was glued to the TV other than the intermittent irritation of the Karnataka State Electricity board playing games with the power supply in my area (Grrr!!!)

Well, it was a superb match… Chennai put up the run on the board but Yusuf Pathan with valuable contributions from Shane Watson made sure that the Rajasthan Royals achieved the target to lift the first IPL cup. Some might say Pathan was fortunate being dropped twice but I would say "fortune favors the brave" Smile Power hitting at it’s best… The sixes were the Stand and Delivery type and a treat to watch.

Unlike the semi-finals which were totally one-sided.. the final had all the ingredients for a nail-biting finish. Also, a the team huddle by the Kings after the match was a wonderful gesture by MSD to show that what a great team player he is. Shane Warne has proven that cricket is a team game and you need talent as well as team work to come out on top. He has provided valuable leadership to the team and ensured that the team functions as a well oiled machine and comes out on top…. Kudos to him and his team!
